VSNL against SPAM
Yo Yo Yo... take this you buggers......next # is yours my not-so-friendly-neighbourhood-spammer Three cheers to VSNL, others are u listenin'

Just got this on mail....
"Dear Subscriber,
The Tata Group and VSNL have always strived to ensure that its subscribers get the best quality service. We are aware that spamming has been one of the biggest problems that email users have been facing worldwide and we at Tata Indicom have always explored every means to curb this growing menace.
As a part of this, a special initiative was taken to get legal action initiated against identified people who create spam mail and we are glad to inform to you that these intense efforts have borne good results.
Financial Express Mumbai Edition dated 14th January 2004
Tata Sons Limited, on behalf of VSNL, had filed a suit against 5 persons that were known spammers, sending unsolicited bulk commercial emails. In a landmark judgment and the first of its kind in India, the Delhi High Court has restrained three of the Defendants from indulging in spamming. This is the first order of its kind passed by a Court in India and, perhaps, in the world in the absence of a suitable legislation to check spamming.
We thank all of you for the support that you provide us by providing the details about the spam that happens on your accounts which in turn helps us to track the spammers.
Committed to offer our best services.
Regards,
Head - Customer Service
VSNL
